Kelli Diane Hughes and Ashley Ray Woodward were united in marriage April 3, 2010, at Lower Higgins Creek Church. Sam Adams officiated the 6 p.m. double-ring ceremony. The church was decorated with hot pink and orange daisies. Music was provided by Twelve Gates Youth Ministry. The bride is the daughter of Tim and Wanda Hughes, and Donna and Chris Atkins. She is the granddaughter of Genevieve Tipton and the late Edward Tipton, and Faye Hughes and the late Clyde Hughes. The groom is the son of Ray Woodward and Polly Woodward, and Dorothy Metcalf and Grover Metcalf. He is the grandson of the late Jake and Minnie Woodward. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Kim Tipton was the matron of honor. The flower girl was McKenzie Tipton. Blake Richardson was the best man. The usher was Josh Love. Following a reception in the fellowship hall, the couple took a wedding trip to Gatlinburg. They are residing in Erwin.
