Senior Center News – Upcoming trips planned (June 3, 2015 issue)

Please join us for a presentation by Rachel Bradshaw, Unicoi County’s cooperative extension agent, as she shares gardening tips on Tuesday, June 9, at 9:30 a.m. Implementing the tips shared will ensure that your garden yields the best fruits and vegetables possible this season.
On Wednesday, June 10, we will travel to Barter Theatre to see “Keep on the Sunny Side.” This production will be outdoors under a tent for only $10 plus the cost of your lunch. Please call the center if you are interested in joining us.
We are also very excited that we have three bands joining us for a fundraiser on Friday, June 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. The cost to attend will be $5 per person to enjoy an evening with the Red Barn Band, Mountain Rose Band and the Rockingham Band. All proceeds raised from the admission fees and concessions will support the center’s operating expenses so please plan to attend and enjoy the entertainment.
If you enjoy travel, we invite you to join us for a 4 day/3 night trip to Lancaster, Pa. The cost is only $379 per person, which includes a charter bus, lodging, a show at the Sight and Sound Millennium Theatre, a guided tour of Lancaster, including the Amish Country, and more. For further details or to pick up a flyer to share with your church or business, please contact the center Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 743-5111 or feel free to drop by the center, which is located at 220 Union Street, Erwin.
