Senior Center News – Sewing group helps area needs (March 25, 2015 issue)

We are pleased to announce that our Sewing with a Mission group has prepared lap quilts and neck pillows for Amedisys Hospice patients. These individuals have such compassion that they have dedicated their time to touch the lives and hearts of others.
If you would like to join the Sewing for a Mission group, please join us on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. to see what our next mission will be. Together, we can make a tremendous difference for others in our community.
We would also like to invite anyone with a desire for quilting to join us on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. to work on a quilt in progress. Once it is completed, the senior center will proudly display the work of art and proceed with selling it to offset our operating expenses.
For additional information relative to these activities or to inquire about older adult (50 years and older) options, please call the senior center at 743-5111 or visit us at 220 Union St. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
