Senior Center News – Center announces fashion show event (Dec. 17, 2014 issue)

We would like to invite you to the Christmas and New Year’s Fashion Show, which will be held this Thursday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. The show will include several of our members, so we hope that you will attend. Elaine Jones and Pat Tipton have spent a tremendous amount of time coordinating the show.
Please be advised that we are offering a 3-day/2-night trip to Pigeon Forge. It includes transportation on a charter bus, four shows, hotel accommodations, and four meals for only $269.
You do not have to be a member of the senior center or an older adult to join in on the fun, as an adult of any age is welcome. This could also be a great Christmas gift, so please call us for additional details and to reserve your seat.
As you continue to bake and gear up for Christmas, we ask that you remember that we can meet your needs for pecan pieces, English and/or black walnuts. With your purchase, you will be supporting us while getting a competitive price on the nuts you need.
We would also like to thank everyone who supported us during the recent Christmas Bazaar, Soup Lunch and Bake Sale. Without the community’s support, we would not be able to offer the variety of activities and services that are currently available.
Please note that the senior center will be closed Dec. 24-26 for Christmas. We hope that each of you will be blessed with a very Merry Christmas and we will look forward to serving you when we return on Monday, Dec. 29.
For additional information relative to these events or to inquire about older adult options, please call the senior center at 743-5111 or visit us at 220 Union St. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
