If you need something to cool you off during all this hot weather, try these ice cream recipes from “Seviers Old and New Family Favorites.
BUTTER PECAN ICE CREAM
1/2 cup pecans,chopped
2 Tablespoons butter,melted
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 package instant butter pecan pudding mix
1 pint milk
Add butter to pecans.
Let brown and let cool.
Beat eggs; gradually add sugar.
Beat until thick.
Stir in milk and pudding, and then add nuts and butter mixture.
Pour into an ice cream freezer.
Add milk to fill and freeze.
