Friday’s game will not be played due to COVID quarantine at North Carolina high school

From Staff Reports

Unicoi County High School’s Blue Devils will not make the trip to Madison High School in North Carolina this Friday, according to UCHS head coach Drew Rice.

“We will not be playing our game with Madison High School due to a quarantine situation at Madison,” Rice said. “We are going to take the COVID win and not pursue a makeup game.”

Rice said the Blue Devils will be back in action Friday, Sept 10, with a home game against Happy Valley High School. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Gentry Stadium.
