Different year, same result.

Coach Grady Lingerfelt saw his Lady Devils earn an outright Three Rivers Conference championship crown with an 11-5 victory over the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones on Thursday, April 19.

“I knew it would be a tough game, it’s always a tough game against them,” Lingerfelt said. “We’ve played them in two one-run games this year. It took a little to get things going, but we adjusted. The girls played well tonight.” Unicoi County (30-6) (8-0) struck early on the scoreboard when Tiffany Laughren scored from third base following a throwing error from a Lady Cyclone infielder. The Lady Devils led 1-0 going into the bottom of the first inning.
