Off the Field – Moving on (July 22, 2015 issue)

The Erwin Record learned last week that 2015 Unicoi County High School graduate Taylor Wright will continue her softball career next season. Wright has committed to play with the East Tennessee State University Lady Bucs.
After overcoming an ACL surgery that put a halt on a junior season, Wright helped the Lady Blue Devils come within a game of the TSSAA state tournament in 2015.
Wright joins fellow 2015 graduate Tiffany Laughren on the Lady Bucs squad. ETSU previously had two former Lady Blue Devils – Whitley Hensley and Mikayla Treadway – on their squad.
