It looks like softball in the Valley Beautiful will continue to be successful for the years to come.
The Unicoi County Middle School varsity softball team wrapped up the regular season on Wednesday, April 27, with an 8-5 loss to Liberty Bell in Kingsport.
With the loss, the Jr. Lady Devils ended the season with a 22-2 mark.
UCMS rattled across 13 hits in the contest with Gabby Davis, Kailya Street, Nickolette Ferguson, Leah Edney and Bella Bogart getting two hits each. Kiley Bennett, Caroline Podvin and Kate Hollenbeck knock in a hit apiece, while Ashtan Vance scored a run.
Davis started the contest in the circle and was relieved by Abbie Grindstaff and Ferguson in the game.

Earlier that evening, the Jr. Lady Devils defeated Greeneville 8-1.
Head coach Eleana Pate saw her team strike early in the first inning with five runs before coasting to victory.
Hollenbeck added two hits. Vance and Podvin added 2 RBIs each. Ferguson picked up the win, tossing eight strikeouts and allowing just three hits.

UCMS defeated John Sevier 13-4 on Tuesday, April 26.
