Erwin Knights schedule games with Ky. team

The Erwin Knights, a semi-professional football team based in Erwin, announced on Tuesday, Jan. 6, that they have set up a home-and-away series with the Kentucky Patriots for the upcoming 2015-2016 football season.
Game one will be played on March 28 at 4 p.m. in Erwin.
“We’re excited about the chance to play teams out of the area,” head coach Andy Slagle said. “This gives us a chance to spread our name and introduce ourselves to new leagues.”
The Patriots are based out of Somerset, Ky., and are members of the Kentucky Football League (KFL).
Price of admission for the game is set at $2 and gates will open at 3 p.m.
The Knights are in the WCFL, an eight-team league that spans from Sevier County, Tenn. to South Carolina.
