Coach: Camp allows team to give back to community

Blue Nation saw the future gridiron stars take to Gentry Stadium last week during the Unicoi County High School Blue Devil football program’s annual Blue Devil youth camp, which concluded on Friday, June 7.
It’s one of the best times of the year for the program, head coach Jerad Huskins said.
“We averaged around 60 per day,” he added. “The 5-7 group is usually one of the smallest but it was gigantic this year with us having 20 kids in that division. They’re always fun to work with and my five-year old came out to his first camp. We couldn’t have asked for a better week.”
The week’s progress is what the camp is all about, according to Huskins.
