William (Bill) Roscoe

William (Bill) Roscoe was called home on Feb 19, 2014 at Hillview Nursing Home in Elizabethton, TN Bill was an avid musician, an oboist from an early age that led to the establishment of MM Meason Inc., that moved to Erwin from Rockville, MD in 1975. He was active in the community as President of the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Y’s Men Club, 10 years as principal oboist with the JC Symphony and an active member with the choir at Centenary UMC in Erwin. The last 15 months Bill resided at Governors Bend in Erwin with his wife Norma. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and his youngest son George.

He is survived by his loving wife Norma,

Sons: Bill Jr., California and Jim Roscoe, Arizona.

Brothers: Bud and Dick Roscoe

Sister: Peg,

Daughter-In-Law: Patty Adkins

Grandchildren: Karen Gillison, Kris Roscoe, David Roscoe, Summer Cutter, Brian Roscoe and Kimberly Roscoe.

Stepdaughters Nancy Shaffer, Maryland, Betty Fletcher and husband Eric, Pennsylvania,

Step-son Michael Cox and wife Linda.

The combined families include 8 children, 15 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.

The family request the honor of your presence at a memorial service for Bill to be held on Sunday, March 23 at 3 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 203 N. Elm, Erwin with Pastor Robert Layell officiating. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 2:00 PM, Sunday at the Centenary United Methodist Church and continue until service time.
