W.G. Mullins, Jr.

W.G. Mullins, Jr., age 60, of Johnson City, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was a native of Unicoi County and a son of Barbara Vanover Mullins and the late William Guy Mullins, Sr. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Mullins was a Senior Data Specialist with CSX Railroad. W.G. was always a happy man who loved life, enjoyed helping others and was loved by all who met him.

In addition to his mother, W.G. Mullins, Jr. has left to cherish his memoires:

Sisters: Pam D. Triplette and husband, David of Johnson City,
Buffie Lewis and husband, Scott of Elizabethton;
Brother: Tony Hurst of Florida;
Granddaughter: Lillian Nichole Mullins;
Several Cousins, Nieces and Nephews

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of W.G. Mullins, Jr. in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Barney Hurst will officiate. A visitation period to share memoires and offer support to the family will begin at 4:00 PM and continue until service time on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:30 AM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy. Those who wish to attend will meet at Mountain Home National Cemetery by 11:30 AM for the service on Monday. Active pallbearers will be William Guy Mullins III, Jody Mullins, Peyton Mullins and David Triplette.
