Troy Donald Lewis, age 78, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his home. He was a native of Carter County and son of the late Albert and Ella DeVault Lewis. He was an Elder and member of Buffalo Valley Christian Church, a Mason and a Shriner. Troy was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm, having served in the United States Marine Corps, the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard for a total of 21 years. He was employed by the Johnson City Police Department, Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department and Nuclear Fuel Security. He lived a lifetime of service. In addition to his parents, Troy is preceded in death by an infant son.

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Troy Donald Lewis in a funeral service to be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 7:00 PM, in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Roland Whittamore will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 PM and continue until service time on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home. The family will attend private committal services.
