Tim “Tree” Alan Hampton, 52, of Erwin, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Hampton was a native of Erwin and son of Mrs. Lois Duncan Hampton of Johnson City and the late Lawrence J. Hampton.
He was a welder. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his father, Mr. Hampton was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony K. Hampton in 2010.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lawrence A. and Melissa Hampton of Erwin, Joshua A. and Lindsey Hampton of Unicoi and Dustin C. Hampton of Erwin; a daughter and son-in-law, Christina R. and Andrew Silvers of Erwin; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Stephen L. and Martha Hampton and Jeffrey Hampton, all of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Dawson S. Hampton, Elisha Chandler Hampton, Kaylee Hampton, McKenzie Hampton and Michael Hampton; and his loving aunt, Madge Campbell of Erwin.
A memorial service was conducted Monday, Jan. 24, at the North Chapel of the Morris–Baker Funeral Home at 7 p.m., under the direction of the Rev. Craig Shelton.
Morris–Baker Funeral Home was in charge.
