Tammy Sue (Sis) Sparks, 52, Elizabethton, died Saturday, March 19, 2011.
A native of Erwin, she was the daughter of the late J.C. and Elizabeth Higgins Sparks. She was employed by Bristol Lingerie, and later an in-home caregiver to the elderly and had a cleaning business until she became disabled.
She was a member of West Park Street Free Will Baptist Church, where she had attended since childhood.
She loved spending time with her beloved pet, Missy, her (Baby Girl) Ezett Sparks, family and friends, riding motorcycles, beach trips and time at the lake with her sister.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Jeff Sparks and Bobbie Tipton; grandfathers: Tom Sparks and Fred Higgins; and grandmothers: Nancy Cutshaw Sparks and Earlene Maters Keever.
Survivors include three brothers: Freddie Tipton, Ricky Sparks and Joe Sparks; two sisters: Dreama Persinger and Debra Sparks; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. at West Park Street Free Will Baptist Church. Following the service, the family and friends will proceed to the river for the remaining service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Unicoi County Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Hospital for Children in her honor.
The Cremation Society of Northeast Tennessee is in charge.
