Savannah Kaye Counts, age 80, Unicoi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Elmer and Edith Yarber McCurry.
Kaye was a United States Navy Veteran serving her country for sixteen years. Also, she was employed by the Washington D.C. Railroad Labor Department.
Kaye was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth McCurry.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter, Laurie Weiser, Tampa, FL; one brother, William E. McCurry, Reno, NV; one sister, Mildred Greenwell, Unicoi; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Kaye will be interred at a later date in the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
