Ruth Sabel McNabb, age 73, 123 Landingham Road, Unicoi, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center, after a brief illness. She had been a resident of Unicoi County since 1969.
Mrs. McNabb was born May 30, 1939, in McLeansboro, Ill., and was a daughter of the late William A. and Stella Clagg Sabel.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. McNabb was a retired beautician.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Norma Jean Johnson.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Dennis E. McNabb; son: Dennis McNabb Jr.; daughter: Starr Lee McNabb, both of Unicoi; grandsons: Danny Gray, Orlando, Fla., Blake Louis McNabb, Kingsport, and Chaez Alexander Maisonet, Unicoi; brothers: Bill Sabel, Illinois, Mike Sabel and wife Linda, Florida; sister: Patti Sabel, Colorado; brother-in-law: Max P. McNabb, Andrew, N.C.
Funeral service for Mrs. McNabb was held at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, in the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Todd McLaughlin officiated.
