Roy “Fred” McIntosh

Roy “Fred” McIntosh, age 77, 603 Bob Hardin Road, Flag Pond, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in the Johns on City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. He was a son of the late Samuel and Bessie Treadway McIntosh.
Mr. McIntosh was member of Upper Rice Creek Baptist Church. Mr. McIntosh retired in 1999 as a maintenance worker for Zion Benton Township High School, Illinois.

Other than his parents Mr. McIntosh was preceded in death by two brothers: an infant brother, Alexander McIntosh, and N.J. McIntosh; two half-brothers: an infant brother, John McIntosh, and Grady McIntosh.

Survivors include two brothers: Jerry McIntosh, and wife, Ruth, and Tommy McIntosh and wife, Buryl, both of Flag Pond; step- daughter, Cristy Edwards, Antioch, Illinois; sister-in-law, Carolyn McIntosh, Jonesborough, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mr. McIntosh will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 8:00 pm at Robert Ledford Funeral Home. Reverend Don Wilson and Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. Special music will be provided by Teresa Farmer. Pallbearers will be Dwight Briggs, Arlan Rice, James Rice, Eddie Farmer, Bobby Thomas, and Dennis Treadway.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 pm and other times at the home of his brother, Jerry McIntosh, 1753 Rice Creek Road, Flag Pond.
Interment will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
