Roberta Velva Williams, age 84, of Dry Creek Road, Jonesborough, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Bert and Altha Lewis Watts. She was a homemaker.
She believed in the Holiness church doctrine.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Williams, who died March 8, 1999; two grandchildren, Timmy Bailey and Ashley Williams; one sister, Ruby Chandler; and three brothers, Ward, Bill and Earl Watts.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Terri Williams, Raymond and Charlene Williams, and Harold Williams, all of Jonesborough, and Garrison and Cathy Williams, Erwin; four daughters and sons-in-law, June and Doug Bailey, Unicoi, Phyllis and Glenn Williams, Wilmington, N.C., Ann and Dave Ingram, and Texie and Gary Cash, Jonesborough; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Lewis officiated.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Music was provided by pianist Inez Chandler.
Graveside services were held Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Robert Ledford Funeral Home was in charge.
