Ricky Lynn Morrow

Ricky Lynn Morrow, age 43, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a car accident on January 9, 2015 in Washington County, TN. Ricky attended Canah Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in his younger years and was baptized in 1980. He worked in construction as an iron worker for United States Nitrogen in Mosheim, TN.

Ricky was an Erwin native. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and would help do anything for anybody. He loved the outdoors, fishing and camping with his son Colt. He was a loving son, husband, father, step-father, brother, and even a grandfather. He really had a soft spot for kids, he loved them all.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tolby and Louise Gillenwater, who helped raise him, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Floyd Dale and Willa Dean Edwards and by an Uncle, Tommy Morrow.

Ricky has left behind to cherish his memories:

Mother and Step-Father: Linda and Gordon Aiton of Erwin;
Father: Charles Morrow, Sr. of Newport, TN;
Special Uncles: Billy Gillenwater and wife, Robyn of Erwin,
Roy Lee Gillenwater and wife, Melanie of Erwin;
Step-Sisters: Anna Shell of Libson, OH,
Cindy Aiton of Johnson City, TN;
Sisters-in-law: Teresa Smith and husband, Ronnie,
Debbie Bradley and husband, Bryan of Erwin;
Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends, which were all special to him.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Johnson City Medical Center Trauma Unit 6200, ICU 2900 Unit, all the Doctors, Nurses, Chaplains, those who assisted us during our time of sorrow, and especially for all of the prayers.

A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family of Mr. Ricky Lynn Morrow will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home and other times at the homes of his mother, Linda Aiton, 1020 N. Elm Ave., Erwin, TN and his residence, 1120 Marbleton Road, Unicoi, TN. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we remember and offer tribute in a funeral service to be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will be held immediately following the funeral service at Evergreen Cemetery on Thursday. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Webb, Tony Henson, Darrell Lane, Dylan Shell and Michael Shelton.
