Raymond White, age 56, of Unicoi, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, August 17, 2015.
He was employed with CSX Transportation for over 30 years. He was known by his co-workers as Spike White. He was known by his Fishery buddies as Ray Bonk. Raymond could light up a room with his smile, wittiness, charm, and tender-caring heart. His family, especially his two daughters, were his world. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of Fishery Community Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann Peterson Johnson, January 13, 2013. His father Gene Edward White, August 5, 1998.

Great Nephew: Peyton Thomas Trussell;
Special Friends: Randy and Lisa Metcalf of Unicoi;
Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Raymond White in a funeral service to be held at 8:00 PM, Friday, August 21, 2015, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Danny Howell will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Monica Morris. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 PM and continue until service time. A committal service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Tolley Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his mother. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at Valley Funeral Home on Sunday by 1:30 PM to go in procession. Serving as active pallbearers will be Danny Lamie, Rick Polly Hollifield, Danny Howell, Jay White, Andy White, and Uncle Kermit Peterson. Those attending services are requested to wear jeans or western wear as Raymond was a simple man.
