Ray Banner

Retired SFC Ray Banner went to heaven with the Lord on 4/24/2015. Eighty three precious years he was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, friend and our hero. He served 22 years in the Military; fought in the Korean and Vietnam War. Ray is preceded in death by his parents: O.C. and Ida Banner, parents in law: Curtis and Georgia Bennett, Brothers: Gene, Guy, Larry, Ferrell, Eddie and Niles Banner. Sisters: Pauline and Love, Great-Granddaughter: Baby Stella, Brother in laws: Bobby C Bennett and wife Maddie and Wayne Bennett.

Ray leave behind wife of 64 years, Gladys. Two Daughters: Dawn and Angela. One Son: Todd and Daughter in law Misty. One Grandson: Rob Anderson and Granddaughter in law Jill. Two Great Grandchildren: Hannah and Jade. Brother in laws: Earl Bennett and wife Kathy, Gary Bennett and wife Janie. Brothers: Arnold and wife Sylvia, Gerald and wife, Elaine. Sister in law, Charlotte. Sister in law: Lib Schultz and husband Elmer. Sister in laws: Nancy and Frankie Banner; Shirley Bennett. Many nephews, nieces and cousins he leaves behind. Ray was greatly loved and will be missed greatly: we will all be together again soon.

The family request the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Ray Banner in a funeral service at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, In the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Jeremy Greene will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 PM, and will continue until the service on Wednesday. The committal service will follow immediately at the Mausoleum Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery.
