Mollie Holloway Harris Street

Mollie Holloway Harris Street, 90 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Center on Aging in Erwin. She was a native of Bee Log, NC and daughter of the late Reverend Moss “Poppy” Holloway and Lora Tolley Holloway.

Mollie was affectioninitely known by most people as “Mother”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Harris and H.P. Street, sisters and brothers: Harry, Alford, and Haru Holloway, Myrtle Phillips, Essie Vanover, and Lula Atkins.

Those left to cherish Mollie's memory include her daughters: Janice King and husband Frank, Shirley Hardin and husband Buddy, Robyn Gillenwater and husband Billy; son, Roger Harris and wife Barbara, grandchildren: Greg King, Jeff King, Alan King, Tammy Hardin Ambrose, Michael Hardin, Paul Harris, William Harris, Isaac Harris, Hunter Smith, Eli Smith; great-grandchildren: Logan, Connor, Gabriel, Rilie, Kenedy, Caleb, Gracie, Jordan, Lynsay, Cameron, Taylor, Chandler; step-sons:
Bobby Street, Richard Street, Roger Street; step-grandchildren: Shay, Max, Hannah, and Jacob Street, Nicole Burris, Adam Gillenwater; step-great-grandson, Joshua Burris, several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends to share memories on Friday starting at 5:00 PM until a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home in Erwin and other times at her daughter Robyn Gillenwater's home. Dr. Alan King (grandson) and Pastor Tim Broyles will officiate with music provided by Reverend Harold McNabb. A Graveside and Committal Service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday at 1:30 PM. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers with great-grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:00 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
