Mildred White Harris, age 83, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Blaine and Myrtle Edney White. She worked for Morrill Motors in Rocky Fork, TN. Mildred was a member of Hulen Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Billy Joe Harris, brothers; Steve, Eddie, Lish, Arie, Jimmy, J.B., and Frederick White, and sisters; Beatrice Ramsey, Judy Bailey and Sabba Watts.
Mildred has left behind to cherish her memories:

Judy Simmons of Erwin;
Grandchildren: Julie Garland, Jamie Grindstaff, Lori Casey, and Jeff Simmons;
Great Grandchildren: Abbie Grindstaff, Jordan Grindstaff, Emily Casey, Lane Garland, Hallee Casey, Meredith Garland, Faith Simmons, Haley Simmons, and Keith Simmons;
Brothers: Jeff White, Ray White, Jerry White, and Ronnie White
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Mildred White Harris in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Reverend Ferrell Peterson will officiate. A visitation period to offer support and share memories will begin at 5:00 PM and continue until service time at Valley Funeral Home on Tuesday. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery. Those who wish to attend will meet at Evergreen Cemetery at 10:50 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Nelson, Bobby Baucom, Jeff Simmons, Jamie Grindstaff, Adam Garland, and Jim Grindstaff. .
