MARY RUTH MCNEESE COFFIE ARROWOOD
Mary Ruth McNeese, Coffie Arrowood, age 78, of Erwin, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012. She was a native of Jonesborough and a daughter of the late Joseph Allen and Trula Jane Higgins McNeese.
Mrs. Arrowood loved crafts, quilting, crocheting, cooking, playing piano and organ. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Erwin, where she formerly taught Sunday school.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband: Arnold Vernon Coffie; two step children: Randy Arrowood and Betty Chandler.
Survivors include her husband: Park Arrowood, of Erwin; two sons: Randy Allen Coffie and wife Regina, of Erwin, Danny Ray Coffie and wife Cathy, of Unicoi; two daughters: Lesia Gail Willis and her husband Garry, of Unicoi, Patricia Ann Coffie Sneed, of Erwin; two step-sons: Harley Arrowood and his wife Melba, of Michigan, Kevin Arrowood and his wife Angie ,of Savannah, Ga.; two brothers: Carl F. McNeese, of Jonesborough, John Allen McNeese and his wife Mary, of Virginia; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, in the First Pentecostal Church of Erwin. The Rev.Earl Ragland, the Rev.Craig Shelton and the Rev. Kevin Laws officiated.
A Committal service was held at 11: a.m., at Garland Cemetery.
