Martha B. Mosley
Martha B. Mosley, 85, of Erwin, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at the Unicoi County Memorial
Hospital Long Term Care. Mrs. Mosley was a native of Bakersville,
N.C. and had lived in Erwin for the last 8 years. She was a daughter of the late John and Hattie Yelton.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bakersville, N.C., and she loved her church family.
She was an avid reader, and she loved crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who loved everyone she met.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jess Mosley, five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Sue and Ronnie Webb of Erwin; grandson: Scotty Penix of Kingsport; granddaughter: Dr. Melessia
Webb and her husband Shane Gouge of Elizabethton; twin sister: Mary Yelton of Bakersville, N.C.; brother: Vestal Yelton of Sykesville, Md.; a very special niece: Maxie Yelton of Bakersville, N.C.; her best friend: Margorie Hileon of Bakersville, N.C.
A celebration of life was held at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17, at Valley Funeral Home with Dr. Allan King, the Rev. David Foster and the Rev. Todd McLaughlin officiating. Music was provided by The Landmarks Quartet with Charlotte McCurry.
Interment was held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 10a.m., at the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, and the staff of Caris Healthcare.
Valley Funeral Home was in charge.
