Mark Dewayne Casey, 40, of 459 Telford New Victory Road, Telford, died Friday, July 1, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born January 1, 1971 in Johnson City.
Mr. Casey was a member of Pathway Free Will Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian. He was an avid collector of Dukes of Hazard and Elvis Presley collectables. Mark was a loving and devoted son, brother, and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Fox Casey, grandparents, Pat and Pearl Casey, Walter and Helen Fox.
Survivors include his father and step mother, William and Bea Casey, of the home; brother, James Casey and wife Heather, of Limestone; sister, Ashley Casey, of the home; step sister, Suzanne Owens; step brother, Charles Owens, all of Bluff City; special niece, Courtney Casey and special nephew, Colton Casey; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011, in the chapel of Erwin Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Richardson and the Rev. Tommy Hensley officiating. Special music was provided by the Mountain Dale Free Will Baptist Church choir.
Active pallbearers were James Casey, Brian Casey, Jed Casey, Dewayne Casey, Danny Casey, T.J. Crawford, and Ted Hensley. Honorary pallbearers were the Rev. Ronnie Hensley, Stanley Casey, Gary Peterson, Jeff Grindstaff, Allen Grindstaff, Mike Whitaker, and Rick Whitaker.
Interment was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4, at Bumpus Cove Cemetery.
Erwin Memorial Funeral Home was in charge.
