Marietta Fay “Rita” Clouse, age 55, 270 Tittle Branch Road, Erwin, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Unicoi County, a daughter of Nellie Harris Ozmer, step daughter of Robert S. Ozmer, of Washington State and the late Kenneth Clarence Effler Sr., who passed away in 1992.
Mrs. Clouse was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.
Other than her father, she was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth C. Effler Jr. in 1996.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Brian Keith Clouse; one son: Michael Clouse, of the home; one daughter: Audrea Clouse Bailey and husband Craig, Limestone; five grandchildren: Makayla, Hannah, Buster, Isabella, and Reese; four brothers: Nathan Effler, Timothy Ozmer, both of Washington State, Lee Effler, Erwin and Johnathan Effler, Florida; one sister: Robin Gregory, Washington State; one step brother: Harold Rice, Erwin; mother-in-law: Pat Clouse, Erwin and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Mrs. Clouse was held at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mark Morgan officiated. Special music was provided by Inez Chandler.
Active pallbearers were Lee Effler, Johnathan Effler, Harold Rice, Michael Clouse, Craig Bailey, and Brian Shepard.
Graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
