Madge Elizabeth Miller

Madge Elizabeth Miller, age 93, 4840 Unicoi Drive, Unicoi, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord at 11:31 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Erw in Health Care Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi county, a daughter of the late Robert David and Maude Goodman Horton.
Mrs. Miller was a longtime painter with Blue Ridge Pottery and retired from Hoover Precision Products after 23 years of dedicated service.
She was a lifelong faithful member of Unicoi United Methodist Church and was a loving and devoted Mother and Mamaw.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Farrell Miller, who passed away in 1990, her daughter, Gail Wise in 2006 and her brother, Floyd Horton.

Mrs. Miller is survived by one son, Gary L. Miller and wife, Libby, Burnsville, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Michelle Stroescu and husband, Robert, Dallas, Texas, Jamie Fulmer and wife, Lori, Chattanooga, Tennessee, John Drew Miller and wife, Jennifer, Weaverville, North Carolina, Heather Nichols and husband, Brent, Boulder, Colorado, Luke Andrew Miller and wife, Tara, St. Augustine, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Cody Fulmer, Nicholas Fulmer, Raina Stroescu, Katie Nichols, Lillian Nichols, Martha Nichols, Emma Miller and Zoe Peyton Miller; one sister, Charlotte Valdean Gray, Gray, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Roy and Donna Miller for their love and support provided over the last few years.

A celebration of Mrs. Miller's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, from the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Todd Kingrea will officiate. Special music will be provided by Michelle Stroescu and Inez Chandler. Interment will follow the service in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Miller, Danny Messimer, Steve Miller, Jeff Miller, Randy Miller and Chris James.
Honorary pallbearers will be the New Beginnings Sunday School Class of Unicoi United Methodist Church and Paul Browder.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
