Linda Joy Correll, age 74, 750 Shawnee Street, Erwin, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015, in the Washington Adventist Hospital, Takoma Park, MD. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late William James and Nora Elizabeth Miller Talley. Ms. Correll retired in October 1998 a fter twenty-five years of employment as manager of Pic-Quik Foods. She attended the Cornerstone Church in Johnson City. Other than her parents, Ms. Correll was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Rhodes and Billie Garrett.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons, Randy Correll and wife, Debbie of Unicoi, Jimmie Correll and wife, Judy of Johnson City and Allan Correll and wife, Freddi of Jonesborough; one sister, Estella Murphy and husband, Jim of Jonesborough; two grandsons, Will Correll of Erwin, and Baker Correll of Jonesborough; two granddaughters, Amanda Correll of Chuckey and Katie Correll of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Earnestine Day.
The graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015, at 2:00 P. M. in the Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Jason Myers will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 P. M. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
