Lillian Davis Pickering, 84, of Erwin, TN, a homemaker, died Sunday evening, February 5, 2017, at Unicoi County Long Term Care Center.
She was a native of Greeneville, a daughter of the late Elmer and Juanita Davis.
Lillian was a Methodist and a member of Unaka Peacemakers Quilt Club in Erwin.
Survivors include three children: John F. Pickering Jr. and his wife, Melody, of Gardner, Kansas, Phillip L. Pickering and his wife, Reita, of Erwin, TN, and Judy A. Mann and her husband, David, of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren: Danielle “Nickie” Pickering, Ashley Pickering, Tonya Pickering, Amanda Bailey and husband, Buster, Catherine Anderson and husband, Montana, Mark Joyner Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren: Dalton Moffitt, Austin Moffitt, Delaney Leonard, Alexis Anderson, Lacey Joyner, Remington Joyner, Logan Pickering-Daughtery, and Skylar McNally; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Shirley and Max Murray, Rena Faye Shultz; one brother: Edgar Davis; several nieces and nephews; aunt: Dorothy Ayers; special friends: Charlie and Hazel Webb; special caregiver: Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: J.P. Davis and Shelby Davis; one sister: Barbara Price; former husband and father of her children: John F. Pickering Sr.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home, Greeneville.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening in the funeral home chapel. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to River Hill Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service.
Pallbearers will be Dalton and Austin Moffitt, Buster Bailey, Mark Joyner Jr., Montana Anderson, and David Mann.
