Lillian Clark Duncan

DuncanLillian Clark Duncan, age 89, Knoxville, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the H olston Health and Rehabilitation Center. She lived most of her life in Erwin and was a daughter of the late Edward Bowie and Fannie Mae Harper Clark. Lillian worked as a legal secretary for Judge Garland, Tom Seeley and David Shultz before retiring after twenty years of service. She was the secretary for Erwin United Methodist Church. Lillian was a member and Elder of Erwin Presbyterian Church. She was very active in athletics at Unicoi County High School. Lillian was a member of D.A.R. and was a Cub Scout Leader.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by one son: Bill Duncan in 1977; one brother, Edward Bowie Clark; two sisters: Fannie Mae Parsley and Billie Grace Peterson; former husband, William Bruce Duncan in 1992.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons: Clark Duncan and wife, Karen, Steve Duncan and wife, Kaye, all of Knoxville; one daughter, Lee Duncan Leatherwood and husband, Eddie of Cookeville; seven grandchildren: Noah Duncan of Knoxville, Kevin Leatherwood of Cookeville, Kendal Duncan of Nashville, Erin McKinney and fiance, Justin Loftis of Knoxville, Paige Duncan of Knoxville, Lindsey Leatherwood Byers and husband, Andrew of Cookeville and Meghan Wiseman; one great grandchild, Andsley Byers; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Clark of Winter Park, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A. M. until the hour of service on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Erwin Presbyterian Church. Reverend Norman Wilholt and Pastor Stan Webster will officiate at the 12:00 P. M. funeral service. Pallbearers will be Paul Sawicki, Justin Loftis, Zac Hennigan, Mark Holsclaw, Andrew Byers and Ned Peterson. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
