Leonard Wayne Robinette

Leonard Wayne Robinette, age 68, 132 Canah Hollow Road, Erwin, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a l ifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late Dewey and Minnie Derafield Robinette. Mr. Robinette had been employed by Murray Guard and CSX Railroad. He was a member of the Unicoi Church of God. Other than his parents, Mr. Robinette was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Robinette and a sister, Irene Tolley.

Mr. Robinette leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of fifteen years, Mary E. Lewis Robinette; one son, Eddie Robinette of Jonesborough; two step-sons, John Lewis and wife, Lisa and James Lewis and wife, Judith, all of Johnson City; one brother, Dewey Robinette, Jr. and wife, Shirleen of Unicoi; three sisters, Mildred Morton, Unicoi, Ethel Byrd of Erwin and Emma Jean Wallin and husband, Edison of Unicoi; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Eddie Blazer and Reverend Ronnie Holloway will officiate at the 7:00 P. M. funeral service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler, Pianist. The Men's Sunday School Class of the Unicoi Church of God will serve as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers will be John Lewis, James Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Jerry Peters, Lee Roberts, David Doan and Edison Wallin. The committal service will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 2:00 P. M. in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family, minister, pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at the Unicoi Funeral Home by 1:30 P. M. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
