Lee McNally

Lee McNally, age 91, of Erwin, passed away on Friday, October 25, 209 at the Center on Aging and Health.  A native of Erwin, Lee a son of the late Larry David and Polly (Cooper) McNally.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War.  Lee was a charter member of Canah Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee and Custodial Engineer.  He loved the Lord with all his heart and served Him well until his death.  He has now gone to be with his Lord in Heaven.  Lee was a very giving man and a loving husband, father and grandfather; a better one could have never been found to lead us through life. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and playing softball.  In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Becky (Brown) McNally.

Loving wife of 69 years:  Mae (Fender) McNally;

Sons: David McNally and wife, Penny,

Darrell McNally and wife, Sina,

Jeff McNally;

10 grandchildren;

17 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Center on Aging and Health for their loving care during Lee’s residence there and for their continued care of Mae.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Lee McNally in a funeral service to begin at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 28, 2019 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home.  Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate.  Musical selections will be provided by David and Penny McNally.  A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 pm and will continue until service time on Monday.  A committal service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in the mausoleum chapel at Evergreen Cemetery.  Those attending the committal service will meet at Valley funeral home by 10:30 am on Tuesday to go in procession.  Serving as active pallbearers will be Lee’s grandsons.
