Larry Lee Peoples, 73, of Unicoi, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City and a son of the late Lawrence and Cleo Lacy Peoples. Larry retired after serving 21 years in the United State Navy including the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Johnson Citys Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Erwin Elks Club.

The family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Larry Peoples in a funeral service to be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Byrd will officiate. A time of visitation to share memories and offer support to the family will be from 6:00 PM until service time on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military Honors. Active pallbearers will be notified. Those who will attend the committal service will meet at the Mountain Home Cemetery for the 10 AM service.
