Kathryn Ambrose

Kathryn Ambrose, 67, of Johnson City, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Ambrose was a native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Ralph and Beulah Chandler Tilson. She retired from Nuclear Fuel Services in 2009 following 19 years of service. Kathryn was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church in Erwin, TN, where she served as secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Ambrose was well known in the region as a vocalist with Southside Trio singing in various churches and community events for the past 35 years.

The family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Kathryn Ambrose in a funeral service to be held on Monday, June 16, 2014, at 8:00 P.M. at Southside Free Will Baptist Church, 1313 Chestoa Pike, Erwin, TN 37650. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Regan Riddle of the Primitive Quartet. A time of visitation to share memories and offer support to the family will be from 6:00 PM until service time on Monday at Southside Free Will Baptist Church. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Stanley Edwards, Travis Chesser, Scott Metcalf, Kenneth Phillips, Seth Chesser, and Steve Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Lyons and Carson Hensley. Those who will attend the committal service will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
