Jerome Merry “Bubba” Gray, Jr.

Jerome Merry “Bubba” Gray, Jr., age 57 passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2014 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a native of West Palm Beach. Bubba attended Auburn University. He was a member of The Crossing Community Church. Bubba was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for ten years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bubba chose to follow his passion becoming a very sucessful Mate and Boat Captain where he participated in many tournaments including the Bertram Hatteras Shootout and Bahamian Billfish Championship. Bubba was preceded in death by his uncles: Grafton Gray, Sam Keesecker, Michael Keesecker, A.G. Keesecker; his aunts: Penny Keesecker and Nancy Bogart; cousins: Mark Keesecker, Randy Keesecker and Matthew Keesecker.
Bubba is survived by his wife, Jeanne; son, Jacob Alvey, both of Fort Pierce, FL; parents, Jerome Merry “Babe”, Sr. and Irene Keesecker Gray, Okeechokee, FL; Uncles: P.M. Keesecker, Jr. and wife, Anita, Columbus, OH, Conrad Keesecker and wife, Margaret Lee, Newport News, VA, John Keesecker and wife, Ann, Karl Keesecker and wife, Teresa, Steven Keesecker and Howard Bogart, all of Erwin; Aunts: Relda Gray, Christmas, FL, Carol Keesecker, Erwin, Katrinka Quillen and husband, Prezzel, Kingsport; Great Aunt: Maxine Ford, Titusville, FL.
Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-law family members, close friends and colleagues also survive.
Graveside service for Jerome Merry “Bubba” Gray, Jr. will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. from the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Reverend David Crutchfield and Reverend Bernie Jones will officiate. Music will be provided by Johnna Crutchfield. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Quillen, Chris Bogart, Alan Keesecker, Kurt Keesecker, Karl Keesecker and Steven Keesecker, Roy Lacey and Lester Chaffin.Pallbearers are requested to assemble at the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum at 12:30 P.M. Saturday.
