Jennie Lou Keesecker, age 85, Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Center, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Unicoi County, and had previously resided for 35 years at Sperry View Drive, Bristol, TN. Mrs. Keesecker was a daughter of the late Charles Rhoten and Lola McLaughlin Hicks.
She was a former member of Ninth Street Baptist Church and was presently a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bluff City.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Keesecker was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis E. Keesecker, who passed away in 2009; three sisters: Margaret Kellett, Norma Garland, and Helen Hendrix; four brothers: Mack Hicks, Gordon Hicks, Kenneth Hicks, and Harry Hicks; one niece: Pat Barnett; one nephew: Bobby Kellett.
Survivors include six nephews: Larry Garland, Erwin, Bill Garland and wife, Patti, Ridgefield, Conn., Ron Hicks, and Jim Hicks and wife, Anne, both of Erwin, Richard Hicks, Kenneth Hicks; three nieces: Janice Hendrix Merriman and husband, Greg, Knoxville, Pamela Hicks, and Judyrhea Hicks and several great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside service was conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Watson officiated.
Pallbearers were nephews and great nephews.
