Janice Marie Peake, age 74, of Erwin went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center with her loving son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was a native of Erwin and a daughter of the late Homer and Hafford Allen Bailey. Janice worked for Martin Chapel Elementary and Clinchfield Drug Store. She was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church. Janice was loving known as Granny by her grandsons, Zach and Matthew, whom she loved spending time with. She also loved tending to her flowers, quilting, crocheting, canning and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Clyde Peake and a brother, Carl Bailey.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Janice Marie Peake in a graveside service to be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Roger Laws and Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate. Those who wish to attend will meet at Evergreen Cemetery on Wednesday by 1:50 PM. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary and Matthew Peake.
