Inis Roberts Yarber

Inis Roberts Yarber, 90, formerly of 113 Village Lane, Erwin went home to be her Lord, Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Unicoi County Long Term Care Center. She was a native of Dickenson County, Virginia and was a daughter of the late John and Dora Buchanan Roberts. Mrs. Yarber was retired from the V.A. Center and was the oldest living member of the Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church in Unicoi. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry K. Yarber in 2006; two brothers, George and Ralph Roberts; five sisters, Joyce Osborne, Martha Laughren, Loris Reeser, Mary Bennett and Velva Roberts; three grandchildren, Kevin and Stacy Yarber and Tommy Tolley; a special great-grandson, T.J. Yarber. Survivors include her four children, Ronny Yarber and wife, Linda of Johnson City, John Yarber of Unicoi, George Yarber and wife, Jackie of Erwin and Linda Ayers and husband, James of Unicoi; three sisters, Myrle Laughren and husband, Carl, Olean Roberts and Frances Horton all of Erwin; three granddaughters, Kelly Stevens and husband, Michael, Cindy Bryant and husband, Tom and Jamie Black and husband, Justin; four great-grandchildren, Kristopher and Kourtney Yarber, Thomas Bryant and Jonah Black; a great-great-granddaughter, Pandora Yarber; a special friend, Macy Harris; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Yarber will be conducted at 7:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 in the Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church in Unicoi with the Rev. Dallas Gregg and Rev. Donnie Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Other times at the home of the daughter, 3127 Marbleton Road, Unicoi. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Buchanan Cemetery, Limestone Cove. Active pallbearers will be Justin and Jonah Black, Frank Laughren, Tom and Thomas Bryant, Kenneth Roberts and Kristopher Yarber. Honorary pallbearers will be James Ayers, Gary Laughren, Richard Horton, Odell Roberts, Buddy Osborne and Jackie Yarber. Everyone attending this service is asked to meet at the church by 9:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Unicoi County Long Term Care Center especially Rita and Wanda and the nurse practitioner, Vickie Bryant for their wonderful care they provided.
