Howard Gordon Goff, age 92, formerly of 209 Luttrell Street, Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the James H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center. Mr. Goff was a native of Washington County and a son of the late Herman and Elsie Lyons Goff. He served with the United States Army during World War II at Pearl Harbor. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He owned and operated his electrical business in Unicoi County. Mr. Goff was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. 210A. Howard was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church of Bristol, VA.

And several extended family members and friends.

The life of Howard Gordon Goff will be remembered and honored in a committal service to be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Jackie Cole and Reverend Michael Ward will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the UCHS Jr. ROTC. Those who will be attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30 AM on Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations be made to St. Lukes United Methodist Church, 105 North Street, Bristol, VA 24201.
