Hobert Hampton

Hobert Hampton, age 63, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his residence with his loving family surrounding him. He was a native of Unicoi County and a son of the late Howard Cecil and Annie Ingram Hampton. Mr. Hampton worked for the Unicoi County Highway Department. He enjoyed telling stories, hiking and fishing with his grandchildren. Hobert loved everyone he met very deeply and never met a stranger.

The life of Hobert Hampton will be remembered and honored in a funeral service to be at Valley Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 8:00 PM. Reverend Dewey Duke Harris will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will be from 6:00 PM until service time on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Martin Creek Cemetery. Those who will be attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home on Sunday by 1:00 PM to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Hampton, Michael Hampton, Brandon Patten, Allen Patten, Robbie Patten, Richard Patten, Chris Hampton, Hunter Hampton, and Jed Casey. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Hampton, Michael Patten, Rabbit Higgins, and Robert Hampton.
