HOBART RONALD WHITE

Hobart Ronald White, age 64, 229 Sciota Road, Unicoi, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. White was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late John Sherman and Annie Marie Brummett White.
He was a longtime employee of Scott Farms. He attended the Unicoi Church of God.
Mr. White was a loving and devoted husband, father, “papaw,” brother and son.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Julia Powers White; one son, Ronald White and wife, Terri, Kingsport; one daughter, Barbara White of the home; two granddaughters, Patricia and Maddie; two brothers, Homer White and wife, Patsy, Erwin, and Kenneth White and wife, Ruth, Unicoi; four sisters, Brenda Robinette and husband, Buck, Unicoi, Mary Erwin and husband, Jerry, Erwin, Kay Peterson and husband, Jerry, Unicoi, and Wanda Etheridge and husband, Bill, Unicoi; a special cousin, Herman Booker, Lexington, N.C.; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, from the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Todd McLaughlin and Ronnie Holloway officiated. Music was provided by Inez Chandler.
Active pallbearers were Aaron Peterson, Josh Peterson, Earl Edwards, Jimmy Erwin, Bud Brummett, Randy Shelton, Matthew Vance and Timmy Shelton. Honorary pallbearers were Jeremiah Peterson, Lonnie Doty, Dwight Doty, Davey Powers, Woodby Powers and Josh Abadie.
Committal services were held Friday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at Brummitt Cemetery.
Unicoi Funeral Home was in charge.
