Hazel Rosey Shelton, 84, of Marshall, N.C., died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Shelton was born May 24, 1927 in Madison County where she lived all her life and attended Carmen Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stokley and Mable Shelton Cutshall; husband, Hobert “Bug” Shelton; and a son, Whitsel Eugene Shelton.
Survivors include her daughters: Edna Harris, of Erwin, Brenda Figgins, of Marshall; son: Michael Shelton, of Marshall; stepson: Fred Shelton, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren: Timothy Harris, Pamela Roosa, Robert Figgins, Brandi Silvers, Alvis Shelton, Jody Gragg and several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren: Tyler and Kendall Silvers, Seth Sherman, Julia McNabb, Camden Figgins and Gabe Roosa; one great-great-grandchild: Eliza Sherman; brother: Gladson Cutshall; Godson: Curry Jones; and very special friends: Chipper, Donna, Tori and Bre Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 15, at 8 p.m., in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Dean Hensley officiating.
Interment was at the Stokley Cutshall Cemetery.
Madison Funeral Home was in charge.
