Hazel Garland, age 93, Erwin, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, in the Unicoi County Hospital Long Term Care. Hazel was a native of Pigeon Roost, NC and a daughter of the late John and Creda Honeycutt Garland. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She had been employed by the former Southern Pottery as a painter and later by the former Hoover Ball as an inspector.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Brothers: Bill Garland and John Garland Jr., and by her Sisters: Belle Garland Mathes, Rita Garland Mashburn, Sally Garland Bowman and Pansy Garland Baxter.
She leaves behind:

Committal service for Ms. Hazel Garland will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 15, 2013, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, Reverend David Crutchfield will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Janice Johnson.
