Harold Luttrell, age 81, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Unicoi County and was a son of the late Samuel A. and Lexie Ann Higgins. Harold served in the United States Navy. Mr. Luttrell was a lifetime member of Grace United Methodist Church where he held several different offices in the church over the years. He was a Barber for 58 years, having owned and operated Luttrells Barber Shop on North Main Avenue in Erwin for the last 50 years. Harold was very active in the Jericho Shrine Temple and was a member of the Centennial Masonic Lodge # 491 F & A.M. In addition to his parents Mr. Luttrell is preceded in death by sisters Rosie Kessl, Ruby Clark, Doris Ledford and by one brother C.R. Luttrell.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Harold Luttrell in a funeral service to be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Garland James and Reverend Billy Byrd will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Belle Byrd, and by Allen Morefield. Musical selections will be provided by Darren Ledford. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the service time on Tuesday at Valley Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Ledford, Chris Ledford, Kevin Ledford, Michael Miller, Darren Ledford, and Brandon Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Grace United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, it was Harolds request that memorial donations be made to Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund, 103 Rock Creek Road, Erwin, TN 37650.
