Gladys Louvenia Hyder Roberts, age 69, of Addison, Mich., died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.
She was born Dec. 6, 1942, to the Rev. Martin and Goldia Hyder. She was a member of North Rome Baptist Church, where she and her sister, Armeda helped prepare funeral dinners. She loved to play bingo and cards.
Survivors include her daughter: Sandra Harvey and husband, Faron Pantle, of Nortonville, Kan.; a son: Estel Waycaster of Elizabethton; five sisters: Armeta (Norman) Ringman of Addison, Mich., Mary (Paul) Vance of Hampton, Hattie Bell of Unicoi, Virgie (Leslie) Dutton of Millville, N.J. and Madgie Gilbert of Johnson City; seven grandchildren: Christy Harvey, Emily Pantle and Jordan Pantle all of Nortonville, Kan., Travis Hague, Shawn Hague and Justin Hague all of Adrian, Mich., and Colton Waycaster of Elizabethton; her special companion: Dan Snelling; special friends: Rodney Corbin and Jim Myers; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m., at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, Mich., with Pastor Fritz Kruse and the Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating.
Interment was in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, Mich.
Anderson Funeral Home was in charge.
