Flonia Imogene Wilson Masters, age 88, 163 Sycamore Street, Erwin, went home to be with the Lord at 6:15 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Er win Center on Aging and Health. She was born October 14, 1925 in Unicoi County, a daughter of the late Greeley and Anna Garland Wilson. Mrs. Masters loved to do ceramics and sewing and was a loving and devoted mom and mamaw.
She was a longtime member of Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church.
Other than parents, Mrs. Masters was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Edd Masters, who passed away in 1995; four brothers: Jack Wilson, Claude Wilson, Glenn Wilson, and Gene Wilson, who died in infancy and one sister, Rosemary Cannon.
She is survived by a son, Larry Masters and wife, Teresa, Unicoi and a daughter, Janice Riddle and husband, Johnny, Chuckey; two grandsons: Curtis Riddle and wife Jana and Matthew Riddle, all of Greene County; two granddaughters: Robin McAllister and husband Brian, Erwin and Tracy McInturff and husband, Andy, Milton, Tennessee; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Darrell Wilson and wife, Barbara, Erwin; two sisters: Lucille Clouse and Sharon Engle and husband, Bob, all of Erwin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mrs. Masters will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2013, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Harold Blankenship will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be family members.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
