Ethel Louise Smith Hatcher, age 88, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015, in the Center on Aging and Health. Ethel was a native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Alfred and Nora Tapp Smith. She attended First Christian Church. Mrs. Hatcher was a homemaker most of her life, having worked at Southern Potteries and the Unaka Store, both formerly of Erwin.
In addition to parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Hatcher Sr. on June 17, 2013.
